About
Economic Development
The City of Blanchard is committed to fostering an environment where public and private partnerships help accelerate investment and support long-term economic growth. Strategic infrastructure improvements and business-friendly development policies continue to position Blanchard as one of Oklahoma's most attractive communities for commercial investment.
Why Invest in Blanchard?
Blanchard offers businesses and developers the opportunity to invest in a thriving, growing community with strong local leadership and a commitment to responsible development.
Key advantages include:
Convenient access via the recently improved US-62 corridor
Ongoing investments in infrastructure, downtown revitalization, and community amenities
A proactive, business-friendly approach to development and permitting
Public-private partnerships that support investment and long-term success
Rapid population growth and an expanding customer base
Retail development opportunities to meet growing community demand
A strategic location just southwest of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area
Three Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts that help fund infrastructure improvements and encourage commercial development
Recent improvements include a downtown beautification project and infrastructure upgrades designed to support the city's continued population growth. The widening and reconstruction of US-62 has enhanced accessibility throughout the community, providing greater convenience for residents and customers while improving access to both new and existing businesses.
The City is actively seeking additional retail development to address identified product and service gaps within the local market. To encourage investment, Blanchard offers retail development incentives and works closely with developers, business owners, and community partners to make the development process as efficient and streamlined as possible.
To further support commercial growth, the City has established three Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts. These districts provide funding for critical infrastructure improvements that encourage new development and help meet the needs of a growing community.
