The Blanchard Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you for an evening of celebration, with food, fun, great music and fireworks. Friday July 3rd from 6 PM to 10 PM on Hwy 62 (behind Sonic) this year our special guests will be the band Banana Seat which plays 60s 70s and 80s and the Oklahoma City Symphonic Band will play a patriotic concert. Come out and play the Midway style games, face painting, glow toys and much more. Will have Inflatables, pony rides, Mobile Game Stop for the real thrill seekers a mechanical bull and helicopter rides and of course FIREWORKS.
Each year our event has grown and with over 6000 attending last year we anticipate this year will be even bigger. We offer free parking behind Ace Hardware and also at the first Baptist Church parking lot and our overflow lot will be behind the Blanchard Jr High School with a shuttle bus providing transportation. Don’t worry though with access right to Highway 62 you will be out of there in no time. This year we will also have news Channel 9 storm tracking team along with sky news 9 on site. So grab your blankets and your lawn chairs and don't forget the kiddos and come see how small-town America celebrates our nation's birthday. The City of Blanchard and The Blanchard Parks and Recreation Department is proud to put on this event and we would especially like to thank some of the sponsors who help to make this possible. (OEC) Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, Knippelmier Chevrolet, Warren cat, Waste Connections, Sonic Drive inn of Blanchard, Blanchard Chamber of Commerce, Sooner Legends Inn, Blanchard High School Marching band, Russ Gee Productions, Pleasant Hills Baptist church, The Blanchard Lions Club, Lions Gas & Go
