Blanchard Municipal Court System and Mission
The Municipal Court of the City ofBlanchardis a court not of record and is the judicial branch of Blanchard’scitygovernment. The Municipal Court is set up to impartially hear violations of thecityordinance and determine the defendant’s innocence or guilt in a just, speedy and cost effective manner.
State law requires the Municipal Court to include:
Record keeping
Accounting and reporting to state agencies.
Disbursement of monies tendered for fines, bonds, court cost and related fees.
Disposition of traffic offences are to be reported to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety as
well as requests for suspension of driver license for failure to comply with terms of citations and
court orders.
Blanchard’s Municipal Court is held the forth Thursday of each month (with a few exceptions for
holidays and other conflicts).
A “Court Appearance” date is located on the front of all citations. The “Court Appearance” date is
the date by which the citation must be paid or if you want to go before the judge that is the date you
would do so. (ALL minors must have a parent or guardian present on your Court Appearance date to
go before the Judge).
Fines may be paid by check, cash or money order –No debit or credit cards and fines cannot be paid
over the phone.

Where is Municipal Court located?
Municipal Court is located at Blanchard City Hall 122 N.Main.
When must I go to court?
A “Court Appearance” date is located on the front of all citations .The “Court Appearance” date is the date by which the citation must be paid or set up for court. An appearance before the Judge. Court is held the forth Tuesday of each month, (with a few exceptions for holidays and other conflicts).
What is the fine for a Citation?
Please check the top of your citation the officer should write the amount there, if you have trouble reading it please contact the Court clerks office at (405)485-9392 during working hours, M-F 8:30-4:30.
What do I do about my Citation if I am a MINOR (UNDER 18)?
If you are under 18 a parent or guardian must accompany you to appear in court.
What if I feel I’m not guilty?
If you want to contest a citation, you must appear before the Judge on the date that the officer has written on your citation & enter a plea of “not guilty” before the judge. A hearing will be scheduled & a subpoena will be issued for the officer that wrote the citation, along with any witnesses for your defense. An attorney is not required but you may be represented at your own expense if you choose.
What if I can’t pay the fines immediately?
If payment is not paid on or before your “court appearance” date, you must appear before the judge on your court date & request more time to pay. You must sign a payment agreement and in the event you fail to pay as the judge ordered , a failure to pay citation and warrant for your arrest may be issued and your drivers licensee may be suspended.
How do I pay my fines?
Payment may be made by cash, check or money order on or before the “Court Appearance” date listed on the front of each citation, either in person @ : 122 N .Main, Blanchard ,or by mail to:

What if I ignore my Citation?
A failure to appear citation and warrant for your arrest will be issued The licensing agency in your state will also be notified of a suspension of your drivers license .
How do I pay a Warrant?
Warrants must be paid by cash, money order or cashiers check. NO PERSONAL CHECKS, debit or credit cards are NOT accepted.
